As many of you know, the past six months have brought some challenging circumstances for myself and my husband, Reid. We lost our youngest son in a tragic accident a week before Christmas. April found me in emergency surgery when my blood thinners bled out. Though both have brought stressful times, God has abundantly poured His grace and mercy upon us. He is covering us under His loving wings.
As I have prayed and considered the summer months while we are on break from Bible study, God continues to bring one word to my mind. That word is "sabbatical." I have therefore made the decision to take the remainder of my summer to enjoy a sabbatical time of recovery, as well as spiritual, emotional, and physical rest. Because of this decision, I will not be writing any "Monday Meditations" through the summer months. When we return to Bible study in September we will once again be emailing the meditations every Monday.
I am eagerly anticipating the start-up of our study in the fall, and know that God has some very exciting truths from His word to challenge us with. Reid and I both covet your prayers as God heals us. Thank-you all for your faithfulness to our Lord and to this ministry of Alabaster Jar.
Love and prayers,
